Endometrialcancer is the most common female genital cancer in the developed world.In 2013, The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) used genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics methods to analyzemutation lineage, microsatellite instability (MSI), somatic copy-number alterations, (SCNAs), TCGA proposes to divide endometrial cancer into belowcategories.

 (1) POLE ultramutated

 (2) microsatellite instability hypermutated (MSI-H

 (3) copy number low (CN-L)

 (4) copy number high (CN-H)

There are some problems for TCGA classificationsuch as multiple omics applications, difficult clinical applications, and highcosts etc. Therefore, alternative methods based on immunohistochemistry andgene sequencing have been developed.


Detection Item

This kit is basedon next generation sequencing method to cover the full CDS regions of PTEN,TP53, MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2 and EPCAM genes related to molecular classificationof endometrial cancer, as well as POLE exon9-14, CTNNB1 exon3 and 10 MSI loci.For the polymorphism of MSI, a double sample of both tissue and blood will be takenfor comparison. Simultaneously, KRAS and PIK3CA gene hotspot mutations will be detectedto assist classification.
