Invasive fungal disease(IFD) refers to the fungal invasion of the human body in tissues, organs or blood growth, reproduction, and lead to inflammation and tissue damage of infectious diseases, serious cause necrotizing pneumonia, and even through blood spread to other organs. More than 1 billion people in the world have fungal infections, of which 15-30% are serious invasive fungal infections, the infection site is mostly lung infection or concurrent infection, the main pathogenic bacteria are candida, Aspergillus, cryptococcus neoformans and so on. In recent years, the incidence of invasive fungal infections has increased year by year, and relevant studies have proved that the case fatality rate of invasive fungal infections has reached 35% ~ 90%. The incidence of invasive fungal infections is about 6 cases per 100,000 people per year. It is estimated that only half of such infections are detected during a patient's lifetime.
DETECTION METHOD
Matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry( MALDI-TOF-MS) , the combined molecules are ionized with the help of the matrix, and the ions are accelerated through the flight pipe under the action of an electric field. Their mass and charge can affect their flight time, so the detection objects are accurately separated and identified according to the different flight times when they arrive at the detector.
